Rotary Club Malta funds education for 100 children in Pakistan
21 June 2011

Rotary Club Malta has come to an agreement with the CARE Foundation to fund the education of 100 children in Pakistan for a period of 5 years. Education is seen as being of immense importance in improving cross-cultural understanding and this has been recognised by Rotary Club Malta.

The CARE Foundation was founded in Pakistan in 1988 to educate those children who would otherwise not have gone to school. The CARE concept has blossomed and today CARE manages and runs 200 schools for 135,000 children. CARE receives no funding from any foreign donor agencies or from the Government of Pakistan.
