The Governor of Rotary District 2110 (Sicily & Malta), Francesco Arezzo di Trifileti, visited Rotary Club Malta between the 11th and 13th December to familiarise himself further with the work of the Club and to meet with members and the Club's board. The visit coincided with the 42nd charter anniversary of Rotary Club Malta. The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Anna Arezzo, and the District Secretary, Titta Sallemi, and his wife Maria Teresa.
The activities commenced with a visit to the President of the Republic, Dr George Abela, at the Palace in Valletta together with the leaders of the three Rotary Clubs in Malta and Gozo. During this visit, the Governor was able to inform the President about the objectives of Rotary and the many projects undertaken by the local Rotary Clubs both in the Maltese Islands as well as overseas in addition to the work being undertaken by Rotary International in the global fight against polio >> more.
