The Spanish Ambassador to Malta received Madrid and Malta Rotary Clubs to discuss a joint project between the two Rotary Clubs to underline the common cultural legacy between Malta and Spain.
 
 
 
The Spanish Ambassador to Malta, H.E. Felipe la Morena Casado, received Valletta mayor Alexei Dingli, representatives of the Rotary Clubs of Madrid and Malta, including Spanish district governor Francisco Arcos, Madrid Rotary

Club president José Luis Perona, Malta Rotary Club president Ullrich Salomo and other distinguished guests, including former Spanish ambassador María Rosa Boceta.

This meeting was held to introduce a joint project between the two Rotary Clubs and the Valletta council to underline the common cultural legacy between Malta and Spain, with concrete initiatives for continued collaboration, which would further strengthen cultural, economic and political ties between the two countries. This project was initiated by Rotary Club Madrid to commemorate its 100th anniversary of its foundation.  Rotary Club Madrid was the first Rotary Club established in mainland Europe, an export from the United States of America.
